Jenn Ragland (RYT-500, ERYT-200, YACEP) came to yoga to recover from years of pounding the pavement as a runner. After years of faithful practice, and as a former public school teacher, she decided to combine her love for teaching with her passion for yoga. She completed her RYT-200 in April 2016 and has been teaching and continuing to learn and grow ever since.
Though she enjoys and understands the benefits of practicing all types of yoga, she gravitates toward teaching the gentler practices of Yin and Restorative Yoga. In 2019, she completed 30 hours with Judith Lasater, earning her certification as a Relax and Renew® Level 1 trainer. Jenn is grateful to have studied with Judith, as well as Doug Keller and Mary Richards and a host of other local teachers who have served as mentors.
She believes that Yin and Restorative offer a counterbalance to more intense yoga practices. Rest and recovery are essential components of health and wellness – offering tools for relieving the stress of our daily lives. Her wish for students is to leave class with a quiet mind, a body at ease in stillness or in movement, and a peaceful heart.
